Nice!
Hobo bags have a lovely quality, but it's always hard to find the full line in stores. I wanted something appropriate for the fall to replace my favorite yellow Hobo, so this one jumped out at me. I did a lot of online searching, and this was the only one I saw in this color in this style. Love it. The inside is orange - which is fabulous. I hate bags with black interiors, as it's hard enough to find things on the bottom. This one has lovely styling and the straps are a great length for a shoulder bag. Will definitely see me through till spring.

YELLOW WITH YELLOW STITCHING
I really, really wanted to order this bag. Amazon had it on a special Christmas deal for 30% off the regular price. But, I dithered.J. Glick had written in her review that she received a Marigold Bag with Purple (she and I hate purple) stitching. She also received a bag with wrinkled leather, but the picture showed smooth. Would I get wrinkled leather? Wrinkled leather I could tolerate probably. Would I get purple stitching? The beautiful Marigold bag would definitely have to be returned if it had PURPLE STITCHING.I dithered for a day. 3 were left. 2 were left. 1 was left.I could not stand it. I would take the chance. I ordered it two days ago.This afternoon it arrived.The Leather on the purse is SMOOTH.THE STITCHING IS YELLOW!The bag is entirely beautiful. It is huge. It will hold all my needs. Love this tote - and finding it on Amazon was easy.
Not only do I like the tote, the shopping experience on Amazon was very easy. I looked on Zappos first but Amazon's selection and sorting were better/easier. The tote itself is very sturdy and smart-looking. It was not as big as I'd imagined, but that's my fault for not checking the dimensions. Still, it totally suits my needs and I like the style.

pretty perfect
In black this bag is flawlessly elegant in it's design - the look and the functionality. It can go absolutely anywhere, from boardroom to soccer practice and it will fit in. Legal size docs fit inside nicely; several letters can slip safely into outer pocket. Have not seen any other similar bag that is not *too* something (say,large or exaggerated details) or not enough something else (eg. space or quality). The straps are narrow, but don't feel unusual or uncomfortable. The outer of the two also does not go popping off the shoulder as sometimes happens with a double-strap bag. The leather is not hard and not butter-soft, guess i'd call it *yielding*. More important (to me) is that it is stiff enough to keep the bag structured and contents uncrumpled. Also, this bag is remarkably light.

Soooooo nice!
I am a HOBO fan and have other items from Hobo. This item is great for an everyday small briefcase or a big purse/bag. I use it as a briefcase and love the size. The lining on mine is bright red which makes it easy to find things. The two side pockets are great for slipping in files and extra things. My 15" laptop fits fine in the middle section. When setting down the bag it can easily stand upright and has tabs at the bottom to protect it. My other briefcase was just too big for everyday in and out use - this size is much better for a daily routine.The leather is beautiful and the bag overall looks great. The bag is pricy, but you get what you pay for with this one.

It is a cute clutch. The leather is of high quality. I agree about the comment regarding a magnet or a hand strap in one of the reviews - either one would have helped, but the clutch is still great!

I bought two and keeping them both
First let me say this; I have a thing for patent leather. This is really nice quality leather, as expected from a Hobo International handbag. I love the deep zip pocket on the outside; it makes up for the fact that the body of the bag doesn't have any means of adhering shut. I thought there would be a magnet closure, but there's nothing (other than manually holding it shut). But that will be OK, as it lays shut when flat, plus there is also another fairly deep zip-shut pocket on the inside for anything you are afraid will fall out if (when) the going gets rough. Can be carried by the adorable handle or as a clutch, and a little experimentation showed that you may even be able to tuck the fold-over into the zip pocket for a 3rd look if you really aren't carrying much. The outer zippers have color coordinated pulls which I thought was an adorable touch. I would give it a 5 if it had a way of converting to a cross body and could be closed at the top. But all in all a great bag!
