NICE!......There's a Pocket for EVERYTHING!
Life is Good!Without this selection from Vine, I would probably never have gotten myself a backpack like this. While I have a laptop, I seldom, have almost never, taken it out of the house with me. Additionally, I guess I always felt that these things were for kids and yuppie-types (imagine)! (I'm 63, by the way!)Now, things have Changed! I LOVE this pack, and it has been "traveling" with me a lot since my U**man delivered it! It's so much more fun now to go to the coffeeshop(s) and use wifi to surf and work, and also when I visit the library....I cannot believe what I have been missing out on for the easy availability that I could have had to check things while I have been away from home!As others here have noted, there are certainly pockets enough for just about anything you would with to "have with you". My Favorite Backpack
I've never enjoyed a backpack this much. In fact, I moved to messenger-style bags a while ago after finding backpacks uncomfortable. However, Case Logic really put some thought into this one, which you will notice the first time you put it on with something heavy inside. The straps are padded, wide, and contoured to balance the weight of the pack very nicely, using either one or both shoulder straps. A top handle is included as well, which is nice if I want to pick it up quickly to grab something.In terms of size, it is somewhere between the monster packs that allow you to tote around many college textbooks and the dainty packs that just fit a laptop. You can probably get away with fitting in two big textbooks, along with a chunky laptop and accessories. I also keep an umbrella inside and it fits perfectly. We love it + Mom Tip for Travel with it
We love this back pack car seat bag and now own 2 of them. The bags have been through many trips and have held up very well. The bag fits many different types of carseats -- including our Graco infant seat & base and also our Britax car seat for the older child. It's pretty comfortable to carry on your back and wheel the rest of your luggage. When I was pregnant with our 2nd child, my husband put the back pack on and a baby carrier on the front. Both made getting through the airport escalators, etc. very easy. Highly durable. Well worth its price
Our Ultimate bag has survived multiple trans-Atlantic flights and 6+ Caribbean/European/US domestic flights per year since 2004 (it's now Aug. 2008). It has a few rips which are completely the fault of the airline (one looks like an actual knife cut it), which I've mended with duct tape, and still it keeps going. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough for its durability. By comparison, we purchased a 'cheap' alternative last year for our 2nd child. That thing was absolutely destroyed in one single trip overseas. The Ultimate Travel Bag is head and shoulders above its competition. I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH. If you want something with wheels - I see that's an alternate model now. I would warn, however, the "other" bag we bought, it had wheels - and those were the first things the airlines popped off.

Met my expectations
This bag is exactly what we needed for our Britax Boulevard. We didn't want wheels since our hands are already full pulling our wheeled luggage and pushing the stroller. So the backpack design was perfect. I wouldn't want to hike the Grand Canyon carrying it on my back, but for the walk to the ticket counter it was fine. Backpacks that are designed to comfortably carry heavy loads long distances are hundreds of dollars. I think this bag strikes a good balance between cost and comfort. Caution - I knelt down to the floor to get something out of my suitcase and almost toppled over like a turtle! The car seat is so large is definately affects your balance.There is no sign of wear following our first trip with it. Construction seems sturdy and it is well paded.

Great compact tech backpack
I was looking for a backpack to replace a 15-year old Target/Walmart-type backpack from high school. I wanted something that I could take to/from work, was flexible enough in offering a few different types of compartments, and wasn't overly big/bulky/saggy.This is exactly what I wanted.We'll start with the straps. They aren't filled with gel like some packs are, so they aren't the cushiest, but they do at least have a decent amount of stuffing in them, plus they are fairly wide, and get larger as they go up towards your shoulder, so the bag doesn't feel like it's cutting into your shoulders at all. The roll-up velcro piece that holds excess strap after you're done adjusting it to your preference is quite novel, but not something you interact with every time you wear the pack, so it's not a huge deal.The top and the lower front of the pack each have a reasonably-sized grab handle. This is the size I've been looking for. I was in search of a bag that would fit a 13" MacBook Pro, as well as a 13" Dell Latitude. I'm not a big person and I hate big heavy bags. My previous bag was HUGE and was designed for a 15" laptop of yesteryear. The laptop slot barely held my widescreen 13" and yet the bag was enormous. Great backpack for traveling!
I bought this backpack for a roadtrip with some friends. Since it's a roadtrip I couldn't take a suitcase with me so I decided to buy a traveling backpack instead. I knew that SwissGear is a good brand for backpacks and after looking through Amazon I decided to buy this one.When I received this backpack I knew that this is a high quality product after unpacking it. The material is very durable and the zippers are huge and strong. I was amazed by how much stuff this backpack can pack! I fitted in about 12 shirts and underwear, 1 sweater, 1 jacket, 1 pair of pants, 5 pairs of socks, 1 laptop, and some small stuff such as shaver, toothbrush, chargers, camera, etc. It is just like a small suitcase!Right now I'm also using this for my college, I usually need to carry a lot of books and a laptop. The back of the backpack has a thick "cushion" and my shoulders and back don't feel sore at all.I warmly recommend this backpack!

We purchased this backpack for our new 17" HP laptop. The website was very good at helping us pick a backpack this laptop would actually fit itside. It also has the special pocket that, hopefully, will make getting through airport security checks easier (don't know yet - I fly with it for the first time tomorrow). Very heavy duty contruction and well made zippers and pockets. My only complaint is that it is so big, my husband can load so much stuff in it that it winds up being pretty heavy. No slinging it over one shoulder for long - you need to use both straps for the load! EDIT - made it through the airline security perfectly - did not have to remove the computer, just opened the special zippered compartment! They did find my water bottle though - I had forgotten it in that deep side pocket! I met someone else in line with this same backpack. He had been using it for 2 years and it still looked great.

Tames the GIANT laptop
My husband needed a new backpack to carry his 17" laptop. What makes finding the right backpack difficult is the fact his laptop is at least 2" deep. It's fairly old, but still runs like a dream, so no upgrading if the size is the only problem.This backpack provided details about the size of the laptop compartment so we were pretty sure it would fit (we have had some disagreements with published dimensions before). It worked. The backpack also has enough other compartments and storage to hold his massive power brick for the laptop, gaming mouse, headphones, hard cover book, and snacks.He's pretty rough on gear and this is still going strong despite 3 long distance trips and cross country trip. We would recommend this backpack.

Don't get it just because of the laptop slot
This has to be the best backpack... EVER. Well, probably not, but for $35 bucks, it's a bet! I put my iPad, computer (15.4" macbook that doesn't fit in the laptop slot), 2 binders, 4 note books, 2 slim paperbacks (text books) and a hard cover. Now, that's not my load, I was just testing capacity. Don't buy for capacity, it's more of a storage convenience, the laptop slot is not padded as much as I would have wanted it to be, but everything else is great!MY LOAD:draft pencil in pencil slot (can't carry in pocket due to tip that can easily bend or break), two pens (shape fine), calculator, pulse clicker, iPad (SECOND FRONT POCKET)Macbook (like 1 inch thick), 2 notebooks, small texts books. My Favorite Bookbag
I love my bookbag. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I will second that the laptop pocket doesn't have a lot of padding. My laptop is a 15.7" so it doesn't fit in the pocket anyway (I just use a laptop pocket and slip it in my bag), so I use it for my main binder. I can fit three giant college books and my laptop into the main compartment, and in the laptop pocket I put my 1.5" main binder, tons of pens pencils and a couple smaller notebooks in the outer pocket, and in the outer most pocket, I use it as a snack pocket, in addition to some other random items, since I am constantly in class or studying. There is also a top pocket up near the back of your neck, I think it's the perfect pocket for wallet, cell phone, keys, and ipod. I was a little hesitant at first in buying the bookbag offline, due to size constraints I have had in the past with other bookbags, but this is the perfect bookbag for me and I recommend it for Commuter Students.

Great bag!
I ordered this book bag after my other Jansport was stolen, i love the brand because they seem to last forever. The bag i had before this was a lot more basic. I ordered this one based on looks alone and was surprised at all the great features it had after it arrived. It was a 15 inch laptop sleep in the back, which is probably great for most people, but my laptop is to large to fit. It has to large front zipper pockets to carry books. I am a college student and use this bag to haul heavy books around. It also has many pockets on the interior for misc. items such as pens, calculators etc. and a water bottle holder on the side. It also has a small pocket at the top between the the shoulder straps that i have not yet figured out what belongs there yet, possibly laptop cords? I love the backpack, and it feels much lighter on my back than the smaller more generic Jansport bags.
